Volunteer Charitable Deductible Expenses

If you choose to volunteer your time and money to help a registered charity — it could be deductible.  For example, those that host puppies for the Leader Dogs for the Blind program incur some out of pocket expenses during the time that the puppies stay in their homes.  Keeping the receipts for those expenses (food, vet bills etc) and keeping a log of mileage involving driving the dog to obedience classes etc. will be useful charitable write offs on Sch A of the tax return.

  1. I haven’t had any other reports of problems. Sorry you are having troubles, but I don’t believe it is on my end.

  2. I appreciate the comments. I’ve been working on the theme/website myself and enjoying the process.

  3. I don’t receive much spam. If I run across a widget that will curb that, I’ll let you know.
